DGM DT supplies General Munitions to all services and is a vital link to the success of military operations anywhere in the world. The DGM DT sits in the WOC, part of Land Domain within Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S).

There are approximately 120 people in the team (military & civilian staff) comprising ammunition technical experts, engineers, safety and environmental managers, project managers, specialist stock/capability managers, business, commercial and finance staff.

KEY TASKS

  • Development of the Safety Case to support Outline Business Case (OBC) and Full Business Case (FBC) and across the full Concept, Assessment, Development, Manufacture, In Service and Disposal (CADMID) cycle
  • Development of a tailored version of the DGM Generic Safety and Environmental Management Plan (SEMP)
  • Generation of initial Hazard ID / Hazard Log and refinement as data becomes available
  • Supporting the developing the certification plan and engaging with the Regulator
  • Support Project Safety and Environmental Panel (PSEP) and OME Safety Review Panel (OSRP) submissions to attain OME Assurance Statement (OAS)

EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL

  • Experienced in Safety Management within DE&S
  • Incorporated Engineer or equivalent demonstrable experience

DESIRABLE

  • Knowledge and understanding of OME
  • Risk Management
  • Awareness of Commercial and Project Management in Procurement
