Our defence sector client requires an experienced SC cleared Business Analyst to support the delivery of Enablers to a Business Modernisation Programme. This role is a contract opportunity to start ASAP until the end of September 2024. The role offers a hybrid working arrangenment of 1-2 days per week onsite in Bristol and the remainder working from home.

The enablers consist of;

  • A Hybrid Integration Platform (HIP) that manages the interfaces between systems, in line with the an API first blueprint.
  • A Common User Platform (CUP) made up of primarily of COTS applications
  • An Operational Data Service (ODS) providing data standardisation, reference data and a single point of access for reporting and analysis of data  

The role will be responsible for supporting the Enablers programme in mapping the HIP MVP design against the existing functional and non-functional requirements for the complete HIP. Where gaps are identified then each NFR should be mapped against a future component, with an owner and rough timeline. 

The role will also be responsible for working with the teams to understand the options for the strategic Workforce plan to define, deliver and support a Hybrid Integration Platform in line with the wider deliverables.

The role will be required to work with stakeholders, subject matter experts and architects in the SIA team to define the BMfS ‘targets’ for assurance and the assurance ‘exam question’ to be answered.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Requirements mapping and gap analysis.
  • Define the strategic Workforce plan options for the design, delivery and ongoing support of the Enablers.

EXPERIENCE

  • Business Analyst with experience of working in Defence Support engineering and logistics.
  • Knowledge of Hybrid Integration Platforms (API, messaging, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Common User Platforms, deployment of COTS Apps in the Defence environment.
  • Comfortable with digital technologies and open standards
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Able to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team
  • Strong consulting and advisory skills
  • Experience of business change would be advantageous.
