Are you an experienced Test Engineer with a background in complex infrastructure and systems integration, particularly within defence, security, or NATO environments? This contract role is looking for a DV cleared Test Engineer to support the OpNET FMN Spiral 6 Data Centric Interoperability (DCI) Pilot. Working on-site four days a week, you'll be pivotal in developing and executing verification, validation, and interoperability testing activities for critical defence systems. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, update, and execute test scripts for system verification, validation, and acceptance, specifically focusing on infrastructure, security, IAM, and PKI components.
- Support the creation and delivery of comprehensive V&V plans and testing scenarios—covering functional, non-functional, integration, and regression tests.
- Conduct interoperability testing across systems, partners, and coalition environments—covering federation, policy enforcement, auditability, and traceability.
- Perform testing of Federated Identity and Access Management (FIAM), Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), and trust services ensuring compliance and security standards are met.
- Produce detailed test documentation, manage defects, and provide clear reports to support audit and assurance activities.
- Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and security specialists, supporting environment setup, validation, and demonstration activities.
- Support continuous improvement of testing methods and tools, delivering consistent quality aligned with programme deadlines.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in test planning, script development, execution, and reporting within complex infrastructure environments.
- Hands-on experience supporting validation and acceptance testing for security and identity solutions, including IAM, PKI, and FIAM.
- Solid understanding of systems integration, interoperability, and end-to-end service validation in secure or regulated settings.
- Knowledge of Identity and Access Management principles, digital certificates, and trust mechanisms.
- Familiar with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and working within Agile or structured delivery regimes (SAFe or Waterfall).
- Current DV clearance, or SC clearance with eligibility for DV clearance.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience working within military or NATO environments is highly desirable.
