Evodia Limited is proud to be supporting our client in their search for a highly skilled security cleared Systems Engineer with experience of Combat Systems Integration. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with naval or military experience, particularly those with experience of integrating Combat Systems into Naval Platforms, preferably ships. This could be an experienced RN Weapon Engineering WO, or Lt/LtCdr.
Due to the tight timescales involved, successful candidates are required to already hold a valid SC security clearance.
Location & Working Arrangements
This role is based in Bristol, with a flexible split between on-site and remote working. You will be expected onsite 3 days per week, with the remainder of the week available for remote work, providing a balance suited to modern working preferences.

The Role
As part of this important programme, you'll be tasked with integrating Combat Systems into Naval Platforms, predominantly ships. Your experience will guide the development and deployment of systems that meet exacting standards for safety, interoperability, and operational effectiveness. Your responsibilities include:
- Scoping systems engineering tasks based on the complexity and risk profile of projects; preparing costed proposals and ensuring delivery within scope, time, and budget.
- Analyzing technical hazards and project impacts, while supporting risk reduction measures and documenting solutions thoroughly.
- Applying your understanding of legislation, policy, safety, security, and sustainability to influence the planning and execution of engineering tasks.
- Tailoring systems engineering approaches to ensure artefacts are fit-for-purpose, aligned with project complexity.
- Providing expert guidance to clients and stakeholders, helping them understand requirements and available options.
- Managing test, verification, validation, and evaluation activities of the system.
- Overseeing modifications to operational systems and supporting assurance activities such as audits and reviews.
What We're Looking For
To succeed, you will have:
- A Science/Technology/Engineering or Mathematics qualification at RQF Level 4 or higher.
- Extensive experience in delivering successful Systems Engineering outcomes, particularly within Defence or naval environments.
- Proven capability in providing technical advice and leading complex integration tasks.
- Professional registration with a recognised body such as IEng, CEng, RSci, or CSci.
- Experience integrating Combat Systems into Naval Platforms, ideally ships.
