SUMMARY
The ISTARI including LUMEN projects require a systems engineer who will report to the responsible PI Engineering Manager and P1 Project Manager.
The Systems engineer will be responsible for delivering / generating LUMEN and ISTARI system requirements document and associated engineering test and acceptance plans for these Space Command capabilities.
The System Engineer is to work with the Space Sub-theme and DE&S leads, DSTL (as Subject Matter experts) and the Space Command sponsor/user, to deliver rapid effect to meet critical launch dates.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own the generation of ESS requirements, defining technical
- deliverables/artifacts and updating other documentation for systems,
- including the considerations to in-service support and associated costs.
- Identifies and analyses technical hazards /project impacts then contributes
- to the identification and evaluation of risk reduction measures, ensuring
- that these are adequately documented and managed.
- Manage the design of a system, component or process that meets the
- customer requirement within realistic constraints of time, cost, and
- performance.
- Manage the system’s ESS: test, verification, validation, and evaluation
- process.
EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL
- Have wide ranging depth and breadth experience of providing technical advice and delivery of successful ESS or Mechatronic outcomes; and
- Demonstrate experience of providing technical advice and leading the delivery of successful ESS or Mechatronic outcomes; and
- As a minimum be professionally registered as either:
- Incorporated Engineer (IEng) or
- Registered Scientist (RSci) or
- Chartered Physicist (CPhys) or
- Registered Marine Technologist (RMarTech) or
- Advanced Registered IT Technician (Adv RITTech).
