Looking for a contract that leverages your expertise in datalink technology? Evodia Limited is partnering with a leading company to find a Senior Datalink Technical Expert for a remote 12-month contract, with the possibility of two further 12 month extensions. In this role, you’ll be key to providing technical and operational insight into digital, text-based air-to-ground communication systems such as ADS-C, CPDLC, and VDL Mode 2. You'll be working closely with a variety of stakeholders, including ANSPs, communication service providers, and industry regulators, ensuring that state-of-the-art datalink infrastructures operate smoothly and efficiently.
What you’ll be doing:
- Providing expert analysis and investigation of datalink issues, including root-cause analysis.
- Analysing datalink performance trends using advanced network monitoring tools.
- Supporting the validation of corrective actions to improve system robustness.
- Facilitating clear communication and coordination among stakeholders to optimise operational readiness.
- Contributing to programme governance through regular documentation and reporting.
- Supporting research and analysis activities related to CPDLC, ADS-C, and supporting infrastructure.
What we’re looking for:
- Extensive experience with datalink systems, particularly ADS-C, CPDLC, and VDL Mode 2.
- A robust background in digital, text-based air-to-ground communications.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret network-level data and identify operational trends.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills to support collaborative problem solving.
- Previous experience with operational investigations and root-cause analysis in an aviation or Defence context is highly desirable.
Additional details:
- Location: Remote.
- Contract length: 12 months, with potential extensions.
- Day rate: £500 to £550 (ex VAT).
- IR35: Outside.
