Are you an experienced SCIDA Specialist with security clearance looking for a contract role in a secure Defence environment? Evodia Limited is partnering with a defence sector client seeking a DV-cleared professional to deliver Site Co-ordinating Infrastructure Design Authority (SCIDA) services within the MOD in Portsmouth. This is a hybrid role, blending on-site presence at MOD facilities in Portsmouth with flexible remote working. The initial contract runs for three months, with potential for extension, offering a competitive day rate of £500 to £700 (Inside IR35).
About the Role
As the SCIDA Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering Site Co-ordinating Infrastrucre Design Authority (SCIDA) services within secure MOD environments, ensuring all activities align with MOD policies, security, safety, and engineering standards. Your expertise will be vital in reviewing and assuring design, installation, and modification activities across secure sites, providing guidance to delivery teams and contractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive SCIDA services for MOD sites, managing the end-to-end process
- Review and approve technical documentation, such as High-Level Designs (HLDs), Low-Level Designs (LLDs), and installation packs
- Assure installations of structured cabling, fibre, ducting, containment, cabinets, racks, and physical infrastructure works
- Oversee the Engineering Change Request (ECR) process and ensure compliance with MOD and HMG standards, including JSP 604, JSP 440, and JSP 375
- Conduct on-site inspections, audits, and risk mitigation activities
- Maintain precise records of configurations and compliance status and provide technical guidance to project teams
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Proven experience delivering SCIDA services within MOD or HMG environments
- Strong background in fixed ICT and communications infrastructure
- SCIDA qualification
- Demonstrable knowledge of engineering change management and configuration control -
- Eperience working in high-assurance, sensitive environments
- Ability to work confidently on-site with multiple stakeholders and deliver clear documentation and assurance reports
Desirable:
- Previous engagement with Defence Digital or MOD estates projects
- Experience supporting capital works or infrastructure modernisation
- Familiarity with accreditation, assurance, or compliance activities
