SUMMARY
Our defence sector client is currently recruiting for SC cleared Safety Engineers for initial 6 month contracts.
The roles will be supporting the Surface Ships Domain.
The roles will be Hybrid with 2 to 3 days onsite per week.
KEY TASKS & DELIVERABLE
As part of the role, you could be involved in the following:
- Shall advise the team to ensure the programme will deliver artefacts to demonstrate that policy, legislation and defence regulation have been met and that assets are demonstrably safe.
- Shall be the team focal point. As a result, will be required to represent the team at required safety engagements, including regulatory interface, and have the ability to brief up and down.
- Responsible for the day-to-day activity, delivering against agreed activity and tasks
KEY TASKS
- Development of Safety artefacts.
- Development of a tailored version of the Safety and Environmental Management Plan (SEMP)
- Generation of initial Hazard ID / Hazard Log and refinement as data becomes available
- Supporting the developing the certification plan and engaging with the Regulator
EXPERIENCE
- Experienced in Safety Engineering/Safety Management, ideally within Surface Ships or related domain.
- Chartered Engineer or equivalent demonstrable experience.
