Safety Engineer (GOSHAWK) - SC Cleared

RESPONSIBILITIES

SIAD Delivery Team. IPT stood up to deliver Project GOSHAWK. A direct to UKR delivery project to deliver an Air Defence Capability to UKR, following a trial at MOD Hebrides in June 2026 to demonstrate capability from Industry suppliers.

• GOSHAWK Safety Management - General Safety A&G for project GOSHAWK, developing safety documentation as required.
• Trials Safety Management - Interface with customer and supplier, as well as range provider to develop and execute a safe and successful trial for project GSOHAWK. Working with DOSR, the SSR, WESCOE and other stakeholders at all stages to develop a trials plan and associated artefacts.

EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL

• Experience engaging with assurance authorities and managing engineering
• DE&S Engineering Policy experience
• Experience working with OME and DOSR and/or DSA Regulations
• DE&S Safety and Environmental Management System experience
• Experience with an OME trial and preparation

DESIRABLE

• Background of working on a GiK or rapid procurement project
• Hold a Science, Technology, Engineering and/or Mathematics based qualification at RQF Level 4 (HNC or above).
• With a relevant Professional body/institution related to your discipline, be professionally registered as either:
  • Incorporated Engineer (IEng) or
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) or
  • Registered Scientist (RSci) or
  • Chartered Scientist (CSci)
