Safety Engineer (GOSHAWK)

Are you an experienced Safety Engineer with SC clearance, DE&S Safety and Environmental Management System experience with a background working with OME and DOSR and/or DSA Regulations? Evodia Limited is partnering with a leading Defence organisation seeking a dedicated Safety Engineer to support a project in Bristol, with flexible hybrid working options.

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a crucial Air Defence Capability project, working on Safety Management activities related to complex trials and assurance processes. You’ll be part of a dynamic team delivering safety documentation, managing interfaces with stakeholders such as DOSR and WESCOE, and ensuring all safety considerations align with DE&S safety and environmental standards.

What you’ll need to bring:

Essential

  • Active SC clearance
  • Experience working with DE&S Safety and Environmental Management Systems
  • Proven background engaging with assurance authorities and managing engineering safety principles
  • Familiarity with OME, DOSR, and DSA Regulations
  • Experience in planning and managing safety for trials, including interfacing with multiple stakeholders

Desirable:

  • A strong track record within Defence projects, ideally involving GIK or rapid procurement initiatives
  • Qualifications at RQF Level 4 or above, such as HNC or higher in relevant STEM subjects
  • Professional registration with an appropriate body (e.g., IEng, CEng, RSci, CSci) is a plus

Role Details:

  • Location: MOD Abbeywood, Bristol (Hybrid working: 1 day per week onsite)
  • Contract: 90 days, starting ASAP
  • Day Rate: Up to £570 (Inside IR35)
  • Security: SC clearance required
