Resource Manager

Are you an experienced Resource Manager looking for an engaging opportunity within a dynamic organisation? Evodia Limited is supporting a reputable client based in Reading, seeking a talented professional to lead resource management initiatives in a challenging and rewarding environment. This role is primarily hybrid, requiring two days onsite in Reading each week, with a focus on managing and delivering workstreams related to People Development within the P3M (Project, Programmes, and Portfolio Management) function. If you have a background in resource management, recruitment management, and are familiar with P3M principles, this could be an excellent fit for you.

What you’ll do:

  • Assess, plan, and oversee workstreams such as Professional Development, Future Careers, Learning, and Training, ensuring they align with organisational goals.
  • Make strategic recommendations to improve and optimise services within the ePMO, promoting industry best practise and strengthening AWE’s P3M capabilities.
  • Lead, coach, and develop local teams, helping them achieve their objectives and supporting the broader P3M People Capability Strategy.
  • Collaborate with industry partners and professional bodies to enhance development opportunities, including apprenticeships, graduate schemes, and trainee programmes.
  • Manage and update relevant SharePoint materials, ensuring content is current, relevant, and informative.
  • Support recruitment and resource allocation in line with project requirements, ensuring effective utilisation of personnel.

What we are looking for:

  • You hold experience in resource management, particularly working within project environments where shifting resources is essential.
  • You have a recruiter or resource planning background, with a knack for optimising workforce deployment across multiple projects.
  • Ideally, you are a member of APM or have familiarity with P3M frameworks.
  • You meet the security clearance requirements: British citizenship and UK residency for the past five years and be prepared and eligible to under SC clearance checks or already hold an SC clearance
  • Your proactive approach, strong stakeholder engagement skills, and ability to manage competing priorities will set you apart.

The details:

  • Contract: 12 months, with the possibility to extend.
  • Location: Berkshire (hybrid working; 2 days onsite).
  • Pay rate: Up to £63.85 per hour.
