Quality Manager - Air Domain - SC cleared

We’re currently supporting our client in Bristol, a reputable organisation within Defence, in recruiting a Quality Manager to oversee quality assurance activities in this critical sector. About the Role

This contract position, based in Bristol, offers a hybrid working model—working onsite 3 to 4 days a week with the rest flexible remote working. The role is initially until 30 June 2026, with potential for long-term extension, supporting Air Development Teams (Air DTs) and supplier oversight. You will be responsible for activities including GQA Planning, reviewing quality conditions for inclusion in contracts, managing Quality Assurance Groups (QAGs), and maintaining evidence within Airworthiness Safety Assessments. Your expertise will help ensure the highest standards of quality within current air systems projects, supporting critical defence operations.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will be a CQI Practitioner Grade (PCQI) with proven applied knowledge of QA within the Air Domain acquisition environment. You should have a broad industry background, supporting multiple projects and working across various specialist QA areas, especially Configuration Management and supply chain engagement. Key requirements include:

  • Registered with the CQI as Practitioner Grade (PCQI)
  • Applied knowledge of QA within Air Domain acquisition environment
  • Experience supporting multiple projects with supply chain engagement
  • Engineering qualification at RQF Level 6, or
  • Level 4 with registration as an Engineering Technician (EngTech) with the Engineering Council

Your background should reflect a solid understanding of manufacturing and QA processes, complemented by industry experience gained from working on diverse projects.

  • Daily Rate: Up to £570 (Excluding VAT)
  • Security Clearance: SC required
  • Status: Inside IR35
  • Working Hours: 7.5 hours per day
