Quality Assurance Manager - SC cleared

Are you a SC cleared Quality Assurance professional with a experience within the Air domain? Our client, a leading organisation within the Defence sector, is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to join their team in Bristol. This role offers the flexibility of hybrid working, with 2 to 3 days onsite each week, and is an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-profile aerospace projects.

About the Role

As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will oversee QA governance, ensure compliance within the Government Quality Assurance framework and provide independent assurance on supplier performance and supply chain capabilities. Your focus will be on promoting continuous improvement, risk management, and supplier selection within the Rotary Wing and UAS sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead governance and assurance activities across the supply chain, supporting safety and airworthiness objectives.
  • Advise on risk management and supplier selection processes.
  • Provide independent review of supplier and product performance to ensure compliance and quality standards.
  • Support continual improvement initiatives within the technical supply chain.
  • Work closely with engineering teams and stakeholders to maintain high standards of safety and quality.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Registered with the CQI as Practitioner Grade (PCQI).
  • Proven expertise in applying QA within the Air domain, with a strong understanding of Configuration Management and supply chain engagement.
  • Hold either an Engineering qualification at RQF Level 6 or be professionally registered as an Engineering Technician (EngTech).
  • Experience with multiple projects across technical environments, demonstrating broad QA knowledge and industry experience.
  • Minimum SC security clearance is essential.

Details

  • Location: Bristol, with hybrid working (2-3 days onsite per week).
  • Start Date: ASAP, with an initial contract length until 30 June 2026, with scope for extension.
  • Daily Rate: £420 to £570 (Inside IR35).
  • Standard working hours: 7.5 per day.
