We’re recruiting for a SC cleared Programme Change Manager to support a pivotal Defence Programme. This role offers the chance to contribute to the delivery of the cutting-edge OpNET capability, transforming Defence digital services across multiple security domains. Based either in Wiltshire or Hampshire, with flexible hybrid working (3 days on-site), it’s an excellent opportunity to be part of a high-profile, complex project. The contract runs from 1 June 2026 to 28 August 2026, with a negotiable day rate.
What you’ll be doing:
You’ll support the NSoIT(D) Programme by managing programme-level change control within an intricate environment. Your key responsibilities include establishing and maintaining change management policies, capturing and triaging Change Requests, and providing detailed reporting to governance forums such as Programme Boards and Working Groups. You’ll work closely with Product Owners, the Programme System Design Authority, and senior stakeholders, ensuring the seamless integration of change demands within the programme’s roadmap and PIs.
Your day-to-day tasks will involve:
- Developing and implementing Change Management Policies for the programme in the first 6 months.
- Managing day-to-day Change Requests and change logs with efficiency.
- Producing regular change summaries and reports for senior decision-makers.
- Supporting quarterly reviews of outstanding changes, informing programme planning.
- Yearly review and update of the change management policy, ensuring alignment with MOD and Defence Digital policies.
Who you are:
- The ideal candidate will have substantial experience managing programme-level change control in large, complex projects—preferably within Defence, government, or similar highly regulated environments.
- You’ll be adept at capturing, analysing, and documenting change demands, supporting governance, and working confidently across multiple security domains.
- Strong organisational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities are a must.
- Familiarity with agile or hybrid delivery models and experience supporting senior governance forums will be highly advantageous.
- Qualifications such as APM, PRINCE2, MSP, ITIL, or Agile are desirable.
