Are you an experienced engineer with a strong background in nuclear safety and safety case development? Evodia Limited are working on behalf of a leading Defence company to find an SC cleared Nuclear Safety Case Engineer for a critical, long-term project. This role offers the flexibility of remote working with occasional travel to the East Coast of Scotland, Plymouth, and/or Bristol, approximately once a month.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting the Safety Case Manager across all aspects of nuclear facility safety case scope.
- Producing safety case deliverables in line with UK best practices and regulations.
- Working either independently or leading collaborative efforts to ensure robust safety outcomes.
- Applying your engineering expertise to develop high-quality safety documentation, including safety reports and safety arguments.
- Providing guidance and advice to project teams on safety-related outputs.
- Representing the Safety Case Manager when needed to support project delivery.
Who we’re looking for:
- Proven experience in contributing to nuclear safety cases with a solid understanding of nuclear safety principles.
- Strong background in engineering design, calculations, and technical solutions across product lifecycle stages.
- Experience in safety and risk assessments, including hazard analysis, FMEA, and probabilistic risk assessment.
- Knowledge of relevant regulation, standards, and ALARP principles.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills - able to work independently and guide others effectively.
- SC security clearance is essential for this role.
What we offer:
