Are you an experienced SC cleared engineer with a background in the land domain and a passion for delivering safe, effective solutions? Our client, a leading organisation in Defence, is seeking a Land Domain Safety Engineer to join their team in Bristol, with the flexibility of hybrid working, 1 to 2 days onsite each week.

What You’ll Do
- Support the delivery of safety policies and solutions for Land Domain projects, managing safety risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Generate and review technical safety requirements and documentation for sub-systems, considering in-service support and costs.
- Identify, collate, and evaluate technical safety data to ensure successful outcomes and compliance.
- Ensure adherence to relevant safety legislation, standards, and policies, whilst supporting risk management at project level.
- Assist in the development, update, and review of safety artifacts and safety cases associated with equipment types.
- Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to support safety requirements and system safety activities.
- Support verification, validation, and evaluation activities, including safety testing and assessments.
- Provide guidance on through-life support, modifications, disposal, and decommissioning of equipment.
- Participate in technical assurance activities, ensuring safety standards are met across projects.
What We’re Looking For
- Some experience in providing technical advice and delivering engineering solutions within land or related defence domains.
- A relevant qualification or professional registration, such as:
- Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics-based qualification at RQF Level 3, or
- Engineering Technician (EngTech) or Registered Science Technician (RSciTech).
- Experience working within regulated environments, with an understanding of safety legislation, standards, and best practices.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and disciplines.
- Security clearance of SC or above is required for this role.
Details & Benefits
- Location: Bristol, with hybrid working options (1-2 days onsite per week).
- Contract Length: Until 30 September 2026, with potential for extension.
- Day Rate: £350 to £420 (inside IR35, ex VAT).
