Defence

Evodia provides a wide range of technical and management services to support defence decision-makers in policy, procurement, technology support and research to optimise military effectiveness across all lines of development.

Our approach is aligned with the Key Values for Acquisition articulated in the MOD’s Defence Industrial Strategy White Paper published in December 2005. This document seeks to guide the behaviour of all stakeholders in the defence community, ensuring equipment is fit for the challenge of today, ready for the tasks of tomorrow and capable of building for the future.

Evodia supports these goals strongly and they align with our own values of “passion for our customers”, “performance driven”, “every person, every idea counts” and “delivery through our people”.

With a reputation for support of the highest professional standard, Evodia has 10 years’ experience in the sector, a range of proven techniques and long-term relationships with many customers and industry leaders. We also invest in innovation, so we can meet the changing needs of defence procurement.

We offer services in these areas:

  • Research
  • Project support
  • Acquisition support
  • Decision support
  • Requirements support
  • IT / IS
  • Trials support

Our experience of the Defence procurement CADMID acquisition model covers all phases. We have serviced the MoD and the defence supply base with operational analysis, market surveys, risk management, supply chain management, programme management, bid support, system engineering, data management, assessment, trials and the provision of advice through its technology/military specialists.

The Defence procurement CADMID acquisition model includes a Concept and Assessment Phase to create a business case to achieve Initial and Main Gate respectively. Evodia’s total independence from all equipment suppliers has enabled our ‘Concept and Assessment Phase’ customers to demonstrate impartiality to the DEC, DPA and all potential suppliers for supply chain management and tender assessment.

A key element of a ‘Concept and Assessment Phase’ study is performance/cost trade-offs throughout the acquisition cycle, from the earliest concept choices through to disposal. Here, our experience enables balance of investment decisions to be taken within limited resources and often against short timescales. We can also create business cases or help with their production.
